Extremely Loud Incredibly Close

Summary:

A nine-year-old amateur inventor, Francophile, and pacifist searches New York City for the lock that matches a mysterious key left behind by his father, who died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Bu's review:

Extremely Loud Incredibly Close is by far a true blockbuster, although the actors involved are very well known this movie is worthy just for the kid. I believe Thomas Horn will be the next DiCaprio. He is GREAT! Playing an kid with Aspergers'  is not a joke, and do it perfectly is amazing. At some point I thought the movie was exciting but then it started to be... awkward. What it was meant to be an exiting search around New York for the people whose name was Black got a bit repetitive. Other thing I loved was The Renter. Funny and curious character and great actor. I was a disappointed at the sad ending but you have to be truthful to what someone wrote once so be it!

Man on a Ledge

Summary:

As a police psychologist works to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop, the biggest diamond heist ever committed is in motion...

Bu's review:

Man on a Ledge is one of those movies that is full with holes and logical inconsistencies that can quickly reveal the rest of the movie. But, the director Asger Leth was abel to keep each scene in the film loaded with enough action and movement that, luckily, kept the viewers interested.

I also loved the camera shots and angles they were able to pull of. Oh and, eventually, you expect that someone jumps and you don't get disappointed...

J. Edgar

I entered the movie theater with an expectation and exited it with a completely broken-movie-heart.

I believe this movie destroyed the Powerful image of J.Edgar, it made him a scary, coward, old gay man.

Also, the lines are too long, it's hard to have a good biography movie because you can't summarize an entire life into 120 minutes. The hardest parts are definitely dialogues, they didn't seem natural to me.

Armie Hammer is a great hollywood surprise, although his old man make up wasn't as good as DiCaprio's, the intensive scenes were well played and he is really starting to be noticed.

It wasn't one of Clint's best in my opinion...

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Love the title by the way, it's very musical and catchy, although every time I mention it I say: "Tinker Toldier (which isn't even a word) Spy"... :)
About the film, it has the story, it has the actors but it doesn't have the director. This movie is a bit "stopped", the action is shown smoothly and everything seems calm but early dramatic.
The interpretation of Gary oldaman of George Smiley is truly (as Natalie Portman said) exquisite.

Safe House

Cape Town, a brave portuguese navigator crossed this region of Africa centuries ago after a myth made this place one of the scariest on earth.

In "Safe House" you can clearly see the beauty of this town, however this movie was not that beautiful, mainly because of it's messy the messy screenplay... The first act was actually quite interesting, and the idea of a man, whose job and calm life weren't very appealing, watching his environment change because of someone else's business, gives us a nice story to begin with. But the last two acts were dislocated from what would be a good story besides from this point on  it starts to be forgettable. Why suddenly kill the poor CIA lady??

You can see that Denzel washington was not him as we know on this film. And Ryan Reynolds, when he proves he can play more than the victim on a movie he will win my respect.

And all that's left to say is...
