Summary:
A 12-year-old boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.
Bu's review:
Lorax talks about very realistic issues in our society, although it is a children's film/book it represents today's environmental problems and politics. It is an entertaining movie and I really liked the graphics and dialogue (funny at times).
The colors and the happiness at some point in the movie makes you think about important and relevant questions. I don't think children think about this but the musicality in this movie sure helped it to be a bit more appealing. Of course they have to stick with the book but I honestly thought that the character of Lorax is representative but not the key character.
Animation movies are starting to show less childish environment and are actually becoming appropriate for parents and adults interested on how to explain their kids certain situations on the real world. Dr. Seuss' The Lorax has that but it also includes laughter and sentiment, it teaches you a good lesson through the greatest way there is, CINEMA!
But is still yet to come the movie that will make justice to the world of 3D...
